On Saturday, August 17th, the New York State Conservative Party held its Presidential Nominating Convention. A Richmond County delegation, led by County Chairman David Mario Curcio, played a significant role in the event, where President Donald J. Trump was officially nominated as the Conservative Party’s candidate for the 2024 Presidential election. The nomination of J.D. Vance for Vice President and a slate of electors for the Trump-Vance ticket were also unanimously approved by the voting delegates.

Chairman Curcio emphasized the unwavering support of the Staten Island Conservative Party for President Trump, stating, “The Staten Island Conservative Party is proud to have been the first Conservative Party county organization in the state to formally endorse President Trump’s candidacy, and we have never wavered in our continued support for President Trump and the America First agenda.” He added, “We have every confidence that the greatest chapter in the ultimate art of the comeback Is about to be written.”

The Richmond County delegation was fully represented at the convention, with all state committee members either in attendance or represented by proxy. As a member of the state party’s executive committee, Curcio had the honor of making the official motion to authorize the nomination of President Trump as the Conservative Party’s candidate at the executive committee meeting, held after the convention. This motion, along with those for Vance and the slate of electors, was unanimously approved by the executive committee.

The significance of this nomination comes at a crucial time in American politics, with the 2024 Presidential election poised to be one of the most contentious in recent history. The Conservative Party of New York State has consistently aligned itself with the principles of the America First agenda, which has been a cornerstone of Trump’s political platform. This alignment has resonated strongly with voters in Staten Island, a borough known for its conservative leanings.

The nomination also highlights the ongoing influence of the Conservative Party in shaping the political landscape in New York State. With Election Day scheduled for November 5, 2024, the Conservative Party is mobilizing its base, emphasizing the importance of voter turnout to secure victory for its nominees. Voters are reminded that all Conservative Party candidates, including President Trump, will appear on Column “C” of the ballot.

Reflecting their shared values and commitment to conservative principles, the Staten Island Conservative Party and President Trump continue to use Truth Social as their official platform for news and updates. Official statements and information from the Conservative Party of Richmond County can be accessed at Truth Social.

As the campaign season intensifies, the support from key constituencies like Richmond County will be crucial in determining the outcome of the 2024 election, reaffirming the Conservative Party’s role in advocating for policies that resonate with their supporters.
